Advanced Protein Science 2 - Protein Structure Determination
This course gives an introduction to state-of-the-art approaches in Integrative Structural Biology, and how experiments and computation can be used together. The course covers a range of experimental methods, including X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopy, but also other techniques including CryoEM and EPR, as well as methods to study protein dynamics and intrinsically disordered proteins. In parallel, the course gives an overview of computational methods to study protein structure and dynamics, including molecular dynamics, Monte Carlo methods and other methods for protein structure prediction.The course is a mixture of lectures, group discussions and hands-on introductions, and is the reading material is research and review papers.
