3rd ISBUC Lunch Talk

ISBUC Lunch talks
Stephan Pless will give the third ISBUC Lunch Talk at 12:30 on Thursday May 20

One of the main purposes by ISBUC is to facilitate communication and collaborations between structural biologists at UCPH.

A central aspect of this is to know what science that are performed in the ISBUC labs. To get the general idea of that, with the least possible effort, we now introduce ISBUC Lunch Talks!

The setup is simple: Get entertained while you have lunch.

On every third Thursday at 12:30 pm, access this zoom link https://ucph-ku.zoom.us/j/65742030301. The presentation will be max 25 min and allow for a few questions afterwards. All talks will describe state-of-the-art science from ISBUC members.

Third talk is Thursday May 20 @12:30:

Stephan Pless, Center for Biopharmaceuticals: “Structure and function of an ion channel complex involved in calcium sensing and severe neurological disease”

The schedule for the rest of 2021 is as follows:

Thursday 17/6: Nikos Hatzakis “Biased metabolism: how small molecule binding to P450 oxidoreductase bias its conformational sampling controlling P450 mediated metabolic outcomes

(Summer vacation)

Thursday 16/9 Birthe Kragelund “Disordered Protein Complexes – Friends or Foes?

Thursday 21/10 Nicholas Taylor “Structure and Function of Stator Units of the Bacterial Flagellar Motor

Thursday 18/11 Leila Lo Leggio “Integrative structural biology of temperate phage lysogeny switches

Thursday 16/12 David Gloriam “Combining computational and experimental structural biology to elucidate GPCR structure-function

We hope to see many of you there.

Best wishes,

The ISBUC steering committee
