ISBUC Courses
ISBUC promotes an integrated approach to structural biology at the University of Copenhagen. There are several exciting courses related to structural biology organized by ISBUC.
Current and past ISBUC courses are available below:
Integrative Structural Biology
Each spring, ISBUC hosts a MSc and PhD course in Integrative Structural Biology. This course gives students hands-on experience with advanced, experimental techniques for probing biomolecules, as well as the opportunity to apply computational modelling and machine learning methods to biological data.
GPCR Structure - Function: Suitable Methods and Tools
9 June - 17 June 2025
This course gives an overview of current knowledge about GPCR structure and function in five key areas: GPCR signaling today, GPCR function in cells: from investigations with cell-based assays in bulk to single molecule studies, GPCR biochemistry: from heterologous expression to GPCR reconstitution in artificial systems, GPCR structure at the molecular level: Xray crystallography and CryoEM and New molecules for GPCRs: ligands and biosensors.
Keeping up with the interactome - How IDPs work
19th - 23rd May, 2025
This is an advanced interdisciplinary course for PhD students interested in understanding an intriguing group of proteins, the IDPs and IDR, and their biological ensembles and interactions, including their drugability.
Advanced Methods for Solving High Resolution Structures of Membrane Proteins
21st - 25th October, 2024
Get hands on practical experience with state-of-the-art techniques for succesful sample preparation & the transformation of cryo-EM data into 3D protein structures.
Information driven modelling of biomolecular complexes
24th - 27th October, 2023
Two days of hands-on sessions with Professor Alexandre Bonvin where students will learn to use HADDOCK for the modelling of biomolecular complexes, followed by two days of talks, posters and panel discussions when students participate in the ISBUC Annual Meeting and HALRIC workshop.
